What Monday Blues!!!

What Monday Blues???
I got up today morning.

 And I was Mourning.

The dialogues in my head were "I dont have energy. I ate cheat meals throughout yesterday. I  feel bloated! My cook may not come and then I will have to cook! The dishes arent not washed, will rather do that instead of sweating out!"

All this was building a story to avoid my body from getting ready for my daily workout. I had made things ready to go at night but talked myself out of the class.
Now I woke up groggy, more irritable and more disoriented at 7, which was much later than my daily routine.

In 15 min straight I knew, I need to have a Plan B for not starting with bad energies. So I got the kids up, arranged the night stuff, made beds, got the home food packed and the rest of the day started on time.
My 5 tips to ease your blues are:
1. The moon might be half or quarter but the sun always rises Full.
This thought makes sure I look forward to a wonderful morning with new opportunities to fail and succeed.
2. Sunday is the beginning of the week and not Monday.
I make sure in my head I begin with a bang and so Saturday(being working for me is the last day of the week and new week begins with Sunday, this makes Monday the 2nd day of the week and not 1st(Mental games)
3. No All Or None
There is nothing like All Or None. If you dont catch the exercise in the morning, catch a walk in the day time or do few home stretches, or catch an evening class. Dont make it your Zero Day. Even breathing, Yoga and stretches or climbing up the stairs are a form of an exercise
4. Make a Photo Album of Sundays
Sundays I intentionally plan a lot. Activities in the outdoors with kids, visiting friends or trying new experiences. Making an album makes you smile throughout the week.
So sharing a little bit of yesterday,  Sunday, where the kids and me caught on sunshine as they cycled, caught up with friends and watched the sunset amidst a beautiful, clear sky, also my friend Kalindi explained the kids about water pumping from a Lake in older times!
Its not always about the rosy pictures. It involves coxing the kids to get up, get ready, pack and dress and plan and coordinate schedules for a play date and loosing a nap and handling their and your mood swings!! But make the effort because its worth it!

5. Try Getting up Earlier on Sundays
Ok. I am an early Riser. I love getting up early and catching the rising Sun. Sunday Mornings I change my visual board, I meditate, I plan clothes for the week, get laundry done, sort out cupboards and clean some mess. All this usually is done before the kids are up so I have already had some ME time alone.

Last but not the least. I am very lucky to completely love what I do during the week as a part of my profession and that is Healing my Patients. So I definitely do look forward to a week of new learnings and healings.
Have a Happy Week Peeps!

Digging Deep: A Path to Happiness and Fulfillment!

A 20 year old realises that Love is everything. Cannot take the rejection of a lover. Ends Life.

A 10year old, told to put the mobile phone down and stop gaming. Feels devastated as Gaming means everything. Ends Life.

A 40 year old, couldn't pay the financial debt. Kills both children, wife and ends his own life. Couldn't imagine sculpting a Plan B.

A 30 year old woman, mother of 2, a doctor, couldn't understand her worth. Couldn't stand up to the demands of the hospital and home. Ends Life! Worthlessness took more importance than seeing the daily smiles of her kids.

These are not from a fiction novel. These are happening around me. Around us. Around our worlds. Many a times it is US too!

I have been there, been in your shoes, felt the worth vanishing and the clouds of doom clogging the very capacity to think or act!

But I have emerged. Dug deeper. Risen higher.

The pertinent questions I am solving here are:
What defines your self worth? Can we base it on external validation? What actually defines your end? What is your higher Purpose.

We all fall into this trap of validation. It stems from when we were a kid in school. Our studying or memorizing capacity was not based on how well we could do it given our capacities but how well it is validated by the teacher. We looked at our parents when we gave exams, danced or sang and looking for validation. Facebook took this deep need for validation to another level by attaching Likes to our posts or stories. And So We End Up Basing Whatever We do to Validation By others. This is dangerous because nobody knows your back story to the post or picnic or Exam.

Nobody but you knows how in the bad period cramps, you ended up diverting your mind as a teenager and taking that 10th standard Exam. Nobody but you knows how you managed to cook for 15 members inspite of you clocking only 2 hours sleeps the entire week due to your sick toddler. Nobody but you knows how the ill parents at home prevented you from making the presentation for that meeting.

So Self Validate. Say to yourself: "Good Work Aloka" "You Rock!" "I have done this inspite of the hurdles. Lets see where it takes me" Your genuineness reflects. Many a times your Boss just gets the vibrations of self doubt you carry to the meeting that is created from the looming fear of failure of validation at work place. LIBERATE YOURSELF AND SEE YOUR SPIRITS RISE!

Realising Your Purpose is really the Key to happiness. Your Purpose will be in alignment to your soul. You will feel at peace doing thing when they are in line with your purpose. Your Purpose can be to bring up your kids, or help your househelp through financial crisis, or bring empathy to your advertisement campaign or heal your patient with love or counsel that friend going through a personal crisis or heal your own wounds. It can be big or small but identifying this will get your Real Peace. Don't associate your Purpose with what others want you to achieve, but meditate and reach a level where you can identify and self work towards that goal.

The 3 Ds that come in the way to this is Distraction, Distress and Delay! Don't let things Distract you away or cause your Distress or Delay the Path towards your Purpose. Walking that Road is going to be more joyful than reaching the Destination. Do Not Let Anyone Curve that Path for You. You may be 15 or 50 when you start on that path, so dont listen to detractors and see yourself rise in the path to your Purpose.

We all see young people dying suddenly of Road Accidents, Freak Illnesses or Self Harm. It disturbs the mind and more so when you think about yourself or your loved one in such an instant. But Believe that Each Human here is for a purpose and this Human Experience will be cut short when the Purpose is done. So Do Not Cut It Short Yourself but let the Universe Decide the Course. I believe that each soul is fulfilled when it departs and hopefully in a rested state in the next Avatar!

Being a parent, I keep reminding my kids to Embrace their so called Failures. Participation is Important. Failure is just a mere Perception. Aim for rising to your best Human ability. Realise your Higher Purpose and enjoy the journey more than the Destination!

Keep Walking My Lovelies!
