What Monday Blues???
I got up today morning.
And I was Mourning.
The dialogues in my head were "I dont have energy. I ate cheat meals throughout yesterday. I feel bloated! My cook may not come and then I will have to cook! The dishes arent not washed, will rather do that instead of sweating out!"
All this was building a story to avoid my body from getting ready for my daily workout. I had made things ready to go at night but talked myself out of the class.

Now I woke up groggy, more irritable and more disoriented at 7, which was much later than my daily routine.
In 15 min straight I knew, I need to have a Plan B for not starting with bad energies. So I got the kids up, arranged the night stuff, made beds, got the home food packed and the rest of the day started on time.

My 5 tips to ease your blues are:
1. The moon might be half or quarter but the sun always rises Full.
This thought makes sure I look forward to a wonderful morning with new opportunities to fail and succeed.
2. Sunday is the beginning of the week and not Monday.
I make sure in my head I begin with a bang and so Saturday(being working for me is the last day of the week and new week begins with Sunday, this makes Monday the 2nd day of the week and not 1st(Mental games)
3. No All Or None
There is nothing like All Or None. If you dont catch the exercise in the morning, catch a walk in the day time or do few home stretches, or catch an evening class. Dont make it your Zero Day. Even breathing, Yoga and stretches or climbing up the stairs are a form of an exercise
4. Make a Photo Album of Sundays
Sundays I intentionally plan a lot. Activities in the outdoors with kids, visiting friends or trying new experiences. Making an album makes you smile throughout the week.
So sharing a little bit of yesterday, Sunday, where the kids and me caught on sunshine as they cycled, caught up with friends and watched the sunset amidst a beautiful, clear sky, also my friend Kalindi explained the kids about water pumping from a Lake in older times!
Its not always about the rosy pictures. It involves coxing the kids to get up, get ready, pack and dress and plan and coordinate schedules for a play date and loosing a nap and handling their and your mood swings!! But make the effort because its worth it!
5. Try Getting up Earlier on Sundays
Ok. I am an early Riser. I love getting up early and catching the rising Sun. Sunday Mornings I change my visual board, I meditate, I plan clothes for the week, get laundry done, sort out cupboards and clean some mess. All this usually is done before the kids are up so I have already had some ME time alone.
Last but not the least. I am very lucky to completely love what I do during the week as a part of my profession and that is Healing my Patients. So I definitely do look forward to a week of new learnings and healings.
Have a Happy Week Peeps!
